The Bergara City Council has announced that the culmination of the Euskal Herriko Itzulia in the municipality this Saturday, April 10, will entail a significant reorganization of mobility. Major traffic disruptions are expected, along with the necessity to clear parking spaces between this Friday and Sunday for organizational and safety reasons.
The Council has warned that, in the affected areas, vehicles will not be permitted to be removed once restrictions are active. To ensure public awareness, specific signage has already been placed on the involved streets, and informational notices have been distributed on parked vehicles.
The measures will impact various points in the municipality, including Boni Laskurain street (opposite the San Martín educational center), the Agorrosin car park, Matxiategi street, the cemetery and Oxirondo car parks, Urdangarin promenade, and the areas of Lizaria, Zubieta, Masterreka, Burdiñate, and Urarte. The City Council has reminded that tow truck services may be required to remove vehicles that remain in these areas.
To minimize inconvenience, two temporary parking areas have been set up: the courtyards of San Martín Agirre school and Ipintza Institute. Both are already available and must be cleared before 4:00 PM on Monday, April 12.
The Council expresses its gratitude in advance for the public's understanding and cooperation, emphasizing that these measures are essential to ensure safety, proper organization, and traffic control during the cycling event. Furthermore, it is recommended to travel on foot whenever possible and to respect both signage and the instructions of the organizing staff.
