Aramaio-Legutio wins the Álava Interpueblos Championship

The Aramaio-Legutio team has been crowned champions of the Álava Interpueblos Championship, beating Amurrio 22-14 in the final match.

The final of the Álava Interpueblos Championship took place yesterday, Sunday, with the Aramaio-Legutio team securing victory against Amurrio. Although Amurrio won the first match, showcasing strong players, the Aramaio-Legutio team showed resilience throughout. The turning point came in the second match, where, despite trailing, they managed to come back and win 22-19, setting up a decisive final encounter.
In the deciding match, Markel Arriolabengoa and Asier Del Campo played with confidence against Eneko Gonzalez and Aitor Arauz. Arriolabengoa dominated the game, and Del Campo made crucial plays at the front, ultimately securing the win with a final score of 22-14.

Furthermore, Del Campo highlighted the team's future and the significance of its youth development program, assuring that there is promising talent in Legutio and Aramaio. "The children coming up from below are very important. They are our future, and in a few years, they will be the protagonists," he stated.
Following this victory, Del Campo will soon face new challenges. Tomorrow, Tuesday, he will begin the Álava four-and-a-half championship against Eñaut Moto in the first round, to be played at the Aramaio fronton at 7:00 PM. On Saturday, he will compete in the semi-final of the Basque League's individual championship.
