Nahia Arguiz Crowned Euskadi Champion, Sets Sights on National Competition

The Club Ipurua gymnast dominated in Leioa and is now preparing for the Spanish Championship in Guadalajara.

Gymnast Nahia Arguiz from Club Ipurua has been proclaimed the Euskadi champion in the Master category at the competition held in Leioa, marking a significant sporting achievement for the club.

The most outstanding performance came from Nahia Arguiz, who secured the Euskadi championship title in the Master category at the Absolute Individual Federative Championship of Euskadi held in mid-May in Leioa. The gymnast from Eibar dominated the competition, winning gold medals with both the hoop and ball, and also achieving first place in the overall standings. Her next major goal will be the Individual Spanish Championship, scheduled to take place in Guadalajara from June 13th to 17th.
In the same competition, Arrate Bascaran finished fifth in the senior category, a position she repeated in the overall standings as well as in her hoop, ball, and ribbon routines.
Last weekend, the amateur senior and junior gymnasts competed in the first part of the Euskadi Championship held in Durango. Gorane Mendibe delivered a notable performance, securing the bronze medal in ball, and also finishing fourth in hoop and in the overall standings. Meanwhile, Irati Unamuno concluded in sixth place in Junior A, and Lía Romano took fifth in Senior A.
The season will conclude this weekend. On Saturday, the Eibar gymnasts from the cadet and senior master categories will compete in Durango, while on Sunday, Club Ipurua will host its end-of-course exhibition starting at 10:15 AM.
