The Equality Department of Elorrio Town Hall has launched its new autumn program, aimed at women's empowerment and social transformation.

The Equality Department of the Elorrio Town Hall has designed a comprehensive program of activities for this autumn, focused on fostering the personal and collective empowerment of women, as well as promoting social transformation. The training program will begin in October.
New courses include the literary workshop "Inventario de cartas", the "Medicinal Plants" course for creating natural remedies, the "Pelvic Floor" workshop (integrating physiotherapy, sexology, and movement), and "Laughter and Comic" sessions. Additionally, regular programs like "Zatoz Gurekin" (an literacy and integration space for migrant women) and the Women's Support Group will continue.
Historical memory and culture will also play a significant role. On October 17th, the fountain in Berriozabaleta will host the performance "Memorias líquidas", a tribute to the invisible community work done by laundresses before running water was common.
To promote male awareness, the men's group will continue to meet monthly to reflect on new masculinities and caregiving. Young people aged 12 to 20 can participate in the XVII edition of the Beldur Barik video contest.
As part of the initiatives for November 25th (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women), significant actions are planned. On November 19th, Kattalin Garaizabal will give the conference "The Role of Women in National Liberation Movements", followed by the dance piece "Emakumeak" by the NODE company. On November 21st, the "Coeducation in non-formal education in Elorrio" workshop will be held for educators and youth leaders.
Finally, the Information and Advisory Service for Domestic and Care Work will maintain its monthly in-person appointments at the Town Hall.
