The Mungia City Council is participating in European Mobility Week from September 16 to 22, organizing activities to foster sustainable, healthy, and safe mobility.

Mungia will join the European Mobility Week, taking place from September 16 to 22. The main objective of this initiative is to promote more sustainable, healthy, and safe mobility among citizens, with a particular emphasis on encouraging walking and cycling.
The program is designed for people of all ages, with a special focus on children and families. On September 18, the Mugire Txokoa will host the children's show 'Koloretako Bizikleta' (Colorful Bicycle), which will invite reflection on mobility through Maddi's story. On the same day, at 7:00 PM, a family cycling march will depart from Matxin Plaza, with the collaboration of the Valentin Uriona Cycling Association.
Activities will continue on September 19 with a night orienteering test starting from Foruen Plaza. Participants will navigate through the streets of Mungia using a map and compass, competing in three categories: open yellow, open orange, and open red. The Bidea Orienteering Club is collaborating on this event.
To conclude the week, on September 22, the 'Oinez Busa' (Walking Bus) initiative will be held, aimed at promoting walking and active mobility.
Through these activities, the Mungia City Council aims to continue fostering more sustainable mobility habits among residents and contribute to making daily commutes healthier and enhancing community coexistence in the municipality.
