Durango's Children's Council has positively assessed the "Durango Tour" initiative, noting that the activity organized by young people has been instrumental in showcasing the municipality and encouraging integration.

The Children's Council of Durango held its final session of the year this week. During the meeting, the young members of the Council provided a detailed assessment of the “Durango Tour” initiative, which they created and organized throughout the course with the support and promotion of the Durango City Council.
Council members described the experience as highly positive, emphasizing the clarity of information provided to participants, the excellent organization of the tour, the engagement of the young guides, and the activity's effectiveness in promoting integration and familiarity with the municipality for newcomers. They also acknowledged the welcoming atmosphere for new residents and the opportunity for children to actively participate in community life.
It is worth recalling that the pilot test of “Durango Tour” took place a month ago. During the tour, led by children aged between 10 and 12 years old, participants explored emblematic sites of the municipality and aspects of daily life in Durango. The activity lasted approximately one hour and forty-five minutes and concluded with a shared snack under the arcades of the City Hall. The Children's Council aims to continue this initiative.
Through this evaluation, the Children's Council underscores that “Durango Tour” successfully achieves its objective of introducing the municipality to newcomers and involving children in building a better Durango. The entire Municipal Corporation has expressed its appreciation to the Council members for their dedication and commitment to this initiative.
