A new edition of the local market, promoted by the Abadiñoko Azoka collective, will be held this Sunday in Abadiño. This event, which takes place every second Sunday of the month, brings together local producers and artisans with the aim of offering the public proximity and seasonal items. The event will be held in Txanporta square, from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and in case of rain, it will be moved to the testing ground.
Among the stalls of local producers, there will be an option to purchase products such as goat and sheep cheese, bread, honey, garden vegetables, dairy products, preserves, beef, pastries, craft beer, and flowers. Additionally, invited creators will also participate. At their stands, visitors can find works of string art —a decorative technique that creates figures with stretched threads on a base— and macramé —a textile art consisting of making decorative knots with ropes—, natural cosmetics, jewelry, as well as avocados, oranges, and asparagus.
To liven up the atmosphere, the event usually features various live artistic performances, such as concerts or shows. On this occasion, attendees can enjoy a magic show by Julen Magoa. The organization emphasizes that the main purpose is “to promote the consumption of zero-kilometer products, offering residents the opportunity to buy directly from those who produce them and to support a more local and sustainable model”.
