The 650 Usurbil Bizi local project will continue this spring to promote a different tourism offer based on Usurbil's local identity and its ongoing transformative projects. The program, which extends until the end of June, includes seven guided tours in April and at least three more in May.
The first guided tour is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, providing an opportunity to delve into the cultural creations of the town's streets, followed by a visit to the Zumeta Art Studio in Txikierdi. These events will allow visitors to gain a deeper understanding of Usurbil's street art, the heritage of Salbatore church, cider culture, local care, and waste management models.
Among the novelties, two guided tours have been organized for the exhibition Polen by local resident Jokin Eizagirre "Txitxo". The exhibition, featuring large-format oil paintings and sculptures, is open at Sutegi from March 20 until April 19. One of these tours will be combined with the Open Museum, and the other will be commented on by the artist himself.
The artist himself will explain his work, the creative process, and the ideas behind the pieces.
The exhibition's theme is rooted in nature: just as pollen spreads, color and matter expand through space, symbolizing the beginning of life and creation. The Polen exhibition will be open at Sutegi until April 20, from Monday to Friday from 17:00 to 20:00, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 to 14:00 and from 17:30 to 20:00.
Additionally, a bertso walk has been organized for the end of the month in the apple orchards of Aginaga and Txokoalde, in collaboration with Alkartasuna Kooperatiba, with explanations by Jakoba Errekondo and the participation of bertsolaris Maialen Lujanbio and Andoni Egaña.
