The Usurbil Town Council has released the provisional resolution for last year's sports grant call and, at the same time, announced several new aid lines for 2026 in the areas of commerce, entrepreneurship, and combating social exclusion.

This resolution, published in the Official Gazette of Gipuzkoa on April 10, pertains to grants for non-competitive sports projects. According to the bases published on February 14 of last year, various applications were received across three different modalities. Specifically, seven applications for special aid, three for technical training of teams, two for basic health check-ups for athletes, and ten for covering club sports fees.
In total, 6,000 euros will be distributed for special sports aid, 1,000 euros for technical team training, 1,100 euros for basic health check-ups for athletes, and 947.80 euros for extracurricular sports activities. Interested parties have a ten-day period, starting from the day after publication, to submit any allegations regarding this resolution.
Furthermore, the Usurbil Town Council has also opened new grant calls for 2026. Among these, the Usurbil Zabalik program stands out, aimed at entrepreneurs to occupy vacant premises in the town. It offers two lines of aid: initial expenses for starting business initiatives and aid for paying rent or purchasing premises to open a new economic activity. Applications can be submitted until September 30.
Similarly, the Hasiz Hazi grant call has been launched to subsidize the use of the Kabiene co-working space. This call is aimed at entrepreneurs in the Beterri-Buruntza region and has a budget of 4,500 euros, offering a maximum aid of 1,742.40 euros per entrepreneur. Applications can also be submitted until September 30.
Finally, the call for grants against social exclusion has also been opened, offering aid to individuals or families without economic resources who cannot access other benefits to cover basic needs. These grants are intended, among other things, for initial expenses to access housing. More information and applications can be submitted on the usurbil.eus portal or at the municipal registry.
