Usurbil is in the midst of preparations for its upcoming festivals, with several announcements being made. Ticket sales for the Zikiro-jan (a traditional feast) on July 4th will begin this Friday, the 19th. Additionally, the festival committee will publicly present this year's program on Wednesday, the 17th, in Mikel Laboa square.
Children's Day, scheduled for July 3rd, will be organized by a group of parents offering a range of activities throughout the day. A ginkana (scavenger hunt) will be held for students in grades 1-4 of primary school, and a challenge for those in grades 5 of primary school up to 2nd year of secondary school. Registration must be completed before June 21st, either at the schools or via email at santixabelak.umeen.eguna@gmail.com.
The organizers have issued several important notes: all participants must bring a checkered scarf for the Children's Day song and games. Those participating in the ginkana must wear a t-shirt of a specific color corresponding to their grade (1st Primary: blue, 2nd: green, 3rd: white, 4th: purple). Participants in both the ginkana and the challenge are advised to bring a change of clothes.
Upcoming announcements include: June 17th, the public presentation of the festival program in Mikel Laboa square; June 19th, ticket sales for the Zikiro-jan at the Aitzaga society (30 euros, with a discounted price of 20 euros for youth and unemployed); and until June 21st, the registration period for Children's Day activities.
