The Department of Environment of Astigarraga has organized a guided visit to the Taula farmhouse on April 22, aiming to bring citizens closer to the reality of the primary sector and to value the work of local farmers.

The activity will begin on Wednesday, April 22, at 6:30 PM at the community gardens of Mendiaundi-Anibar. From there, participants will travel by car to the farmhouse to observe production processes firsthand and learn about land cultivation techniques.
According to the organizers, the main purpose of the initiative is to showcase the daily work of farmers and to provide a space for clarifying doubts related to horticulture. During the visit, explanations will also be given about the cycles of seasonal products.

"In recent years, there has been a growing interest in local food and responsible consumption. In this context, such visits have added value, as they bring citizens closer to the first phase of the production chain and promote greater awareness of the origin of food."

The organizers
Although initially aimed at users of the community gardens, the call has been extended to all citizens. Thus, anyone interested will have the opportunity to visit the Taula farmhouse and learn about its activity, without prior experience or knowledge. It has been emphasized that the activity will be didactic, practical, and participatory, offering the chance to ask questions and share experiences.
No prior registration is required to participate; it will be sufficient to attend on the indicated day and time at the Mendiaundi-Anibar community gardens. The organization will coordinate vehicles on site to optimize their number. As the activity will largely take place outdoors, it is recommended to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for a rural environment.
