Errenteria City Council closely monitors the Pasaia Port fire

Public Health does not deem special measures necessary in Errenteria, despite the smell of smoke from the fire being detected.

The Errenteria City Council is in contact with Basque Government officials to monitor the evolution of the fire in the Port of Pasaia.

The Errenteria City Council has been in contact from the outset with the emergency and Public Health officials of the Basque Government to monitor the evolution of the fire that occurred in the Port of Pasaia. As Public Health officials have informed municipal representatives, at this time there is no need to implement special measures in Errenteria.
Although the smell of smoke from the fire may be detected in some parts of Errenteria, Public Health officials have indicated that, based on the information currently available, it is not necessary to impose any special measures for citizens.
Nevertheless, the Errenteria City Council will continue to monitor the situation, in coordination with the Basque Government officials. Should the situation require it, the public will be informed of the necessary measures through the Council's usual communication channels.
