The awarded works aim to replace the existing public lighting in the Plaza de los Fueros and the exterior lighting equipment on the Town Hall facade with more energy-efficient LED technology. Additionally, a decorative lighting system with regulation and control will be installed. The contracted electrical works are divided into two areas: decorative lighting for the Town Hall facade, featuring chromatic regulation and remote control, and functional lighting for the Plaza de los Fueros using LED lights adapted for pedestrian use. The spotlights illuminating the Town Hall facade will be capable of projecting both white and colored light.
Two companies submitted bids for the procedure called by the Town Council, but one was disqualified for not possessing the official registry of public sector bidders and classified companies. After analyzing the offer of the remaining bidder, it was confirmed that it complied with the specified requirements, leading to the award by decree of the Mayor. TECUNI S.A. will carry out the works for the new plaza lighting and the decorative lighting of the Town Hall for 46,633 euros, which is 13,300 euros less than the maximum budget set by the Council. The company will have six months to complete the works, and the warranty period has been extended to 10 years. The contract was signed yesterday, so the project is expected to be completed by early or late next spring.
A new LED lighting system with lower energy consumption and higher performance will be implemented in place of the current installations in the Plaza de los Fueros, ensuring compliance with current technical regulations and efficiency criteria. Furthermore, a special system will be installed to illuminate the Town Hall, allowing it to be colored according to the day. A remote control system will be established to centrally and efficiently manage the switching on, off, and programming of color scenes for the decorative lighting. The decorative lighting of the Town Hall facade will be renovated and enhanced to highlight its historical heritage and illuminate it with distinctive colors on specific dates.
