The Bergara Pentecostes festivities are set to begin on May 22, featuring a new main festival area at the Oxirondo car park due to ongoing works in San Martín square, and the opening txupinazo led by the Lokatza Cycling School.

This year, the Bergara Pentecostes festivities will undergo significant changes, particularly regarding the location of the main festival area. Due to construction work in San Martín square, the celebration hub will be relocated to the Oxirondo car park. On May 22, at 8:00 PM, the Lokatza Cycling School will have the honor of launching the txupinazo, a pleasant surprise for the school's members.
Another important novelty of the festivities will be the special descent of Bitorianatxo. This year, instead of descending from the bell tower of Santa Marina, it will make its way to the main stage in Oxirondo. Additionally, 90 citizens will have the opportunity to experience being Bitorianatxo for a day on May 26, descending to Katabia square. Registration to participate is available on the bergara.eus website.

"We thank the festival committee and the City Council for remembering us. It is important to have such a responsibility in the Bergara festivities."

Although the main festival area will be in Oxirondo, Ariznoa square and Espoloia will also serve as venues for various festive activities. The City Council has announced that the budget for organizing this year's festivities is 170,000 euros. The Xaxau Jai Herrikoien Konpartsa will also move its txosna area from Bideberri to Oxirondo and has unveiled a new visual identity. Furthermore, they will implement their own protocol against aggressions.
A wide musical offering will be available on the two stages in Oxirondo. On the main stage, Brigade Loco will perform on May 22, Neomak on May 23, and Anje Duhalde on Sunday. On the Xaxau stage, No Limits and Sedientos de Cumbia will perform on May 21; Kiliki on Saturday; and Malko and Marte Lasarte on Monday. However, the Bergara Socialist Movement has criticized the City Council for not providing them with an opportunity to participate in the festival area.
Finally, the poster for the 2026 Pentecostes is Bergara Gara, created by Maddi Martin Olaskoaga, and the winners of the drawing and slogan contest organized by Jardun Euskara Elkartea are Xune Juaristi and Paulo Garitano, respectively. This year's slogan will be Bete daigun goraino jaixa euskaraz.
