Members of the Kantsatzeke mountain group will embark on their June outing close to home, beginning this year with the Hartzaren Urratsa GR-289 route, which circles the Debagoiena region. The circuit comprises five stages, with the group aiming to complete one stage annually.
The inaugural stage is scheduled for June 21st, traversing the path between Bergara and Arrasate. The route will start in Bergara, proceed through Asentzio, Kanpanzar, and ascend to Udala, before finally descending to Arrasate. They estimate the hike will take between six and seven hours.
The group notes that "it's a slightly longer outing than usual, but not impossible. A good test to gauge one's strength before summer." They also highlight that the trail is straightforward and offers scenic views, with sights of Aralar, Aizkorri, Kurutzeberri, Udalaitz, and the Anboto area visible along the way.
Registration remains open until Thursday, June 18th, via email at kantsatzeke@gmail.com or by contacting the phone number 690 74 00 56 (via Whatsapp). The group will depart from the town square at 07:00, with a participation fee of 5 euros. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
