The Azpeitia City Council, in collaboration with the association Urolakoen Nafar Zuzterrak and the University of Deusto, has organized two courses on the history, literature, and art of the Basque Country. The aim of these offerings is to activate personal empowerment, setting aside prior academic training, and also to provide training and leisure spaces for adults.
For those who wish to learn about the history of the Basque Country from antiquity to the present day, the course titled 'History of the Basque Country' will be offered. It will consist of four sessions, with Beñi Agirre (from the Nabarralde foundation) as the main instructor, accompanied by a guest. The four sessions of the course will take place on October 13th, 20th, 27th, and November 3rd, on Tuesdays, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Basazabal Palace.
The deadline to register for this course is before October 1st. The price for residents of Azpeitia is 13.20 euros, and for non-residents, it is 16.40 euros. To register, participants must complete the questionnaire and submit it with proof of payment to the Education Service, either by email (hezkuntza@azpeitia.eus) or in person at the town hall.
Furthermore, the council will also offer the 'Literature, Art, and History' course for the sixth year, in collaboration with the University of Deusto. This course will begin its academic year on October 5th and will run until June, taking place every Monday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Basazabal Palace. In addition to covering Literature, Art, and History, music and cinema will also be explored in the sessions, guided by professors from the University of Deusto.
Registration for this latter course will be open from tomorrow until September 25th. Residents of Azpeitia will need to pay 40 euros for the entire course, while non-residents will pay 50 euros. To register, participants must complete the questionnaire and submit it to the Education Service of the Azpeitia City Council.
