A fire originating on a mountain near the Fagor Ederlan facilities in Eskoriatza has forced the closure of the AP-1 highway. Firefighters are already working in the area to try and reduce the flames.
Apparently, the fire began around 3:15 PM this Tuesday, prompting emergency services to respond. The Ertzaintza has proceeded to close the highway's entrances and exits to prevent potential incidents while firefighters attempt to extinguish the flames.
The fire occurred just meters from the Fagor Ederlan facilities on a day marked by high temperatures and a yellow alert for wildfire risk.
