Ondarroa will celebrate the Zapato Azule festival this Saturday, and in preparation, the City Council will deploy a comprehensive plan with specific measures for both Saturday and Sunday. The local administration will contract its own medical and ambulance service, staffed by a nurse and two technicians. This service will operate from the changing rooms at the Zaldupe sports field to avoid overwhelming the local clinic.
An emergency coordination center will be established at the same location, with the presence of the Municipal Police, operating 24 hours a day. "The contact number will be 092", stated the Council. Additionally, a face-to-face service will be available at Etxelila to address cases of gender-based violence.
Furthermore, special parking areas will be designated in the courtyards of the educational institute and in the schools located in the Kamiñazpi neighborhood. Vehicle owners must remove their cars before 8:00 PM on Sunday. Private buses will also be prohibited from parking within the town center.
The music plaza will be closed, except for access to the fronton court. The elevators at Kanttopie, as well as those at Iperkale and Pixape, will be shut down from 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, respectively, "to prevent malfunctions", according to officials.
Cleaning
As it is considered a local holiday, hospitality establishments will have two additional hours of operation compared to usual, depending on their category. The mayor's office, led by Urtza Alkorta (EH Bildu), urges these establishments and food stalls to maintain their surroundings as clean as possible.

Given the impossibility of fully preparing the entire municipality by Sunday morning, the municipal brigade will focus on cleaning the alameda and beach areas in the early hours. To facilitate this task, all traffic heading into the old town from the port will be prohibited.
In the old quarter, urinals and waste containers will be installed for refuse collection, in collaboration with the Mancomunidad.
