The Debagoiena Ehuntzen project has launched a decalogue to combat loneliness, fostering coordination among the region's municipalities with the aim of promoting healthy relationships.
This decalogue, part of the first action plan of the Hariak Strategy, aims to build an ecosystem to tackle loneliness, enabling coordination among various stakeholders. The guide consists of ten main keys, offering a series of recommendations for individuals to confront their own loneliness and help alleviate that of others.
“
"Through a series of recommendations for each person to confront loneliness and help alleviate the loneliness of others, to maintain, create, and strengthen healthy relationships."
Following the presentation of the decalogue, the next step will be its distribution among all citizens of Debagoiena. The Councilor for Welfare of Arrasate City Council has stated that the distribution will take place in the coming weeks, and the guide will be available in both Basque and Spanish to ensure it reaches all residents of the region. It has been emphasized that the guide is designed in an expressive and visual manner, and that the ten keys it contains are direct and clear.
With the presentation of the decalogue, the first phase of the Debagoiena Ehuntzen project has concluded. During this stage, a diagnosis was completed to gather information on the topic of loneliness. Having confirmed the existence of loneliness, the possibility for the community, as a collective, to respond to the problem has been highlighted, and a roadmap has been created to begin weaving a future network.
“
"We have accepted that loneliness exists, and we accept that from the community and as a collective we have the opportunity to respond to it. Therefore, what we envision in that roadmap is to act with actions: to have direct intervention and to try, among all, to provide answers to that loneliness."
