Mendaro will celebrate Trinity Day this Sunday around the homonymous hermitage, with mass, music, and rural sports.

Mendaro is ready to celebrate Trinity Day this Sunday. The main event will be held around the Trinity hermitage, with a program that includes mass, music, and rural sports.
The festivities will kick off at 10:30 AM with a parade of txistularis (Basque wind instrument players). Following this, at 12:00 PM, a mass will be held with the participation of choirs from Mendaro and Itziar. Upon conclusion of the mass, at 12:45 PM, rural sports demonstrations will take place.
This year's event will feature Goizeder Abendibar performing stone lifting, and Arkaitz Etxebeste and Ugaitz Mugerza in the wood chopping competition (aizkolaris). To round off the festivities, the trikitilaris (Basque folk musicians) from Mendaro will perform.
On Monday, Little Trinity Day will be celebrated in Mendaro. The program includes a mass (at 11:00 AM in the Trinity hermitage) and a bertsolari (improvised Basque poetry) session by the Ikastola children (at 12:00 PM). The event will conclude with a performance by trikitilaris Saioa Lizarralde and Lean Esnaola.
