The celebration of May Day once again brought people to the streets of Eibar, led by the LAB union. The abertzale trade union called for a demonstration that paraded through various streets of the city under the slogan «Langileok eragin» (Workers, act), as part of a day of mobilizations held in different Basque regions.
The mobilization served to demand three measures that LAB considers essential to guarantee a dignified life for the working class: the right to housing, quality public services, and decent wages and pensions.
These demands were central to the day's message, in a context marked by the rising cost of living and concerns about the evolution of labor conditions. The union argued that collective organization and mobilization are necessary tools to promote a different social model.
Under the slogan «Langileok eragin», LAB highlighted the need for the working class to have the capacity to influence public policies and economic decisions that affect their living conditions. The day concluded with a meal held in the arcades of the Town Hall.
