The square on Gipuzkoa Avenue will host the EH Sukarra concert, the main event of the first night of the Mesedeetako festivities. Organizers explained that this year they have "betting bigger" by bringing the well-known band, although it will entail "a greater workload".
Before the EH Sukarra concert, there will be other events in the neighborhood. Starting at 18:00, there will be a chocolate tasting, a dance session, and a chorizo tasting. Later, at 21:00, the music will begin with the group Konbo Itxaropena, opening for EH Sukarra, who will perform covers of classic rock-heavy songs.
On Saturday, a communal meal will be offered with a special menu: for adults, paella, meatballs, pantxineta, and coffee (17 euros); and for children, macaroni, meatballs, and yogurt (12 euros). Tickets are on sale at Asigorren and Iratxon, and although the tickets state September 20th, the meal will be on September 19th.
The usual popular tournaments will also take place: mus, tute, indoor football, tortilla championship, toka, and table football. The tute tournament will be on Saturday afternoon (16:30), and the mus tournament on Saturday night (22:30). There will be three prizes: a meal at Edurtza, a hamper valued at 60 euros, and a hamper valued at 40 euros.
The indoor football tournament will start on Saturday at 17:00, and the table football tournament at 19:00. For children, there will be inflatables on Saturday, and on Sunday, giants, big-heads, and a foam party.
Regarding music, on Saturday the romeria will be enlivened by the group Ahantzi, and from 01:00 onwards, Trujen eta Estrujenak will get Soraluze dancing.
The Festival Committee, composed of about ten people, has invited "all citizens", stating that "children, youth, adults... will be welcome".
