The SD Eibar Foundation, along with the Gaztekide program driven by Debegesa in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, hosted an educational and integration day last week at Ipurua. The event brought together children participating in the program and members of the SD Eibar veterans' group, creating a space for learning and intergenerational experience sharing through sport.
The day began with a guided tour of the Ipurua stadium. During the tour, participants had the opportunity to learn about the stadium and the club's daily operations, as well as its sporting and social work.
Subsequently, the activity moved to the adjacent pitch, where young people and veterans shared a training session designed to promote values such as respect, cooperation, teamwork, and mutual aid. Football thus became a meeting point between generations, fostering the creation of bonds and the exchange of experiences.
This experience allowed attendees to enjoy a different kind of day, where learning extended beyond the playing field. Through initiatives like this, the SD Eibar Foundation reinforces its role as a social agent, promoting projects that use sport as a tool for integration.
The 'armero' Foundation expressed gratitude to all participants for their involvement, as well as to Debegesa and the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa for their collaboration.
