San Pelayo Park in Ermua will be the venue for an open-air cinema cycle aimed at children and families. Four screenings are scheduled for July 1, 6, and 8, at 9:00 PM. In case of rain, the sessions will move to the covered area of Plaza Cardenal Orbe. This activity is free and organized by the Education, Culture, Youth, and Sport Area of the Ermua City Council.
This initiative stems from a proposal gathered during the 2025 Children's Participatory Budgets process, where children from the municipality suggested ideas to improve leisure offerings for their group, with summer cinema being one of the selected proposals. The program includes titles designed for family enjoyment.
The first session, on Monday, will screen Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. On July 1, it will be Space Jam, in Basque. On July 6, Momiak will be shown, also in Basque, and the cycle will conclude on July 8 with The Big Bear Camp.
The City Council invites families to enjoy these summer nights outdoors, recommending they bring snacks and, for greater comfort, a folding chair, although sitting on the ground will also be possible.
Meanwhile, Abadiño will also embrace open-air cinema. The first screening will be on Friday at Traña Square with Dragon Slayer; on July 3 at the hermitage of Gerediaga, Gaua; on July 10 at San Trokaz Square, Soinujolearen semea; and on July 24 at the tower of Muntsaratz, El 47 (in Spanish) will be screened. All films will start at 10:00 PM.
