The Danbaka music festival, organized by Goiena Komunikazio Taldea, will take a hiatus starting in 2026, with plans to return in 2028, citing that it is "awaiting fresh talent".

The Danbaka festival, established by Goiena Komunikazio Taldea in 2004 with the intention of being held biennially, will take a break starting in 2026 and is projected to return in 2028. Its initial editions took place at the Espaloia Kafe Antzokia in Elgeta in 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010.
Due to various reasons, the festival experienced a long hiatus and was not revived until 2022. That year, relocated to the Seminarixoa in Bergara, it once again featured Debagoiena's musical projects as protagonists.
Following the successful 2022 edition, Goiena decided to organize the sixth in 2024. Currently, with preparations for 2026 underway, they have opted for a break after deep reflection. "Because sometimes, you need to know when to stop to ensure the future," they explained.

"We have the feeling that, although Debagoiena is a valley very fond of music, no new projects have emerged in the last two years to organize such an initiative. In other words, the pot is waiting for fresh ingredients, and what is cooked slowly always tastes better, which is why we have decided to organize the seventh edition in 2028."

Just as bands take breaks, Danbaka has decided to pause to ensure its continued fruitfulness in the future. Thus, they have decided to organize the seventh edition in 2028 for a project that is "awaiting fresh talent".
