Amagoia Basurto, a resident of Mendaro, has won the competition organized by the City Council to select the announcement poster for the upcoming patronal festivities of Santa Ana.

Basurto's winning artwork, created by hand, draws inspiration from the banners that the group Josi ta Josi is currently crafting for the celebrations. The design features the hermitage of Santa Ana at the center of a swirl of banners, alongside 'Katasorgina', the festive character, who is depicted hanging these banners.

The City Council organized the event and awarded the 300 euro prize. The jury, comprised of artists Aitor Etxeberria and Jaime Zamakola, selected the winning piece from the 15 submissions.
