Following the evaluation of six proposals, the Elgoibar City Council has awarded the contract to Elecnor for the improvement works on the gymnasium located beneath the stands of Mintxeta. This project, aimed at adapting the municipal facility to current user needs, will entail an investment of 221,518 euros (VAT included), jointly financed by the Council and the company Danobatgroup.
Once the works begin, the awarded company will have a two-month period to complete the task. Municipal officials have expressed their intention to carry out the expansion and renovation of the Mintxeta gymnasium during the summer months, ensuring the facility is ready by September, when the new season of courses commences.

In addition to the gymnasium upgrade, the City Council has allocated an extra 20,000 euros to renovate the paving and lighting system of the two paddle tennis courts at the Mintxeta sports facilities during this upcoming summer season.
