The IX Eibar Cycling Club Trophy delivered a fast-paced and highly contested race, with the Dimaq-Ipar Maquina rider securing victory after a decisive attack in the final kilometers.

The cadet cyclist completed the 68-kilometer course in 1:47:45, maintaining an average speed of 37.87 km/h, winning by a mere two seconds ahead of a large chasing group at the finish line in Urkizu.
The day, marked by spring-like weather, began early with the opening of the permanent office at the Town Hall and saw significant participation: 153 riders started from Toribio Etxebarria street. From the initial flag-off, the race was very nervous, with continuous breakaway attempts that failed to consolidate due to the peloton's control.
One of the race's notable moves came from an Eibar cyclist, who tried his luck solo and managed to open a small gap. However, his attempt was neutralized just a few kilometers from the finish, as the main group was already speeding towards the conclusion in the city streets.
It was then that the decisive move occurred. From an already highly selected peloton, with approximately fifty riders, the Dimaq-Ipar Maquina cyclist launched his attack at the opportune moment, gaining a slight advantage that he managed to maintain until the finish line in Urkizu. Behind him, cyclists from Canalsa-Maldopar and Café Dromedario-Flotamet led the chasing group, crossing the finish line in second and third place, respectively, both just two seconds behind the winner.
The toughness of the race was once again reflected in the final data: out of the 153 riders who started, only 101 managed to complete it, demonstrating the high pace and demanding nature of a course without major climbs but with constant wear.
In the team classification, victory went to Ulma-Aloña Mendi, whose riders delivered a solid and consistent performance to win in this category, ahead of Limousin Oriako and Café Dromedario-Flotamet.
The IX Eibar Cycling Club Trophy once again confirmed the good moment of youth cycling, with young riders already demonstrating a high competitive level supported by a large audience. The organization wished to thank the support of the Eibar Town Hall, Ascensores Beltrán, Casa Galicia As Burgas, and other collaborators, who are fundamental for these types of events to continue developing future generations of cycling.
