CD Eibar Athletics Faces a Double Fixture This Saturday in Arrasate and Irun

The club's athletics section will have ten athletes competing in school and federated events.

The athletics section of CD Eibar will experience an intense competition weekend with participation in both the Open Participation Trials (PLP) in Arrasate and the Euskadi School Games in Irun.

The main activity will take place this afternoon at the Mojategi track in Arrasate, where nine federated athletes from CD Eibar will compete in events organized by the Gipuzkoana Athletics Federation. The program includes 100m and 200m sprints and shot put, aimed at refining preparation for upcoming official championships on the regional calendar.
In the men's category, Asier Andreu and Dennis Márquez will compete in the 100 meters, with Andreu also participating in the 200 meters. For the women, Elene Arrazola, Elene Beitia, Ixone Bilbao, Malen Anderez, Naia Capelastegi, Nerea Aizpuru, and Sonia Mendy will race in the 100 meters. Additionally, Arrazola and Beitia will also run the 200 meters, and Sonia Mendy will compete in shot put.
Furthermore, young athlete Izadi Flores Azpitarte from the Athletics School will compete today in Irun after being called up by the Gipuzkoana Federation to represent Gipuzkoa in the XLIII Euskadi School Games. The Eibar athlete will participate in the javelin throw event at the Plaiaundi track, in a competition that will bring together the best school athletes at the regional level.
