The Eibar City Council has launched a comprehensive guidance service for young people aged 12 to 16 and their families, aiming to support them in making decisions about their educational and professional future.

The Eibar City Council, in collaboration with the Armeria Eskola Association, has launched the pilot project "Orientazio Integrala Eibarren". This service is designed to assist students aged between 12 and 16 years old in making decisions about their educational and professional future. The program will be free of charge and will actively involve families in the process.
The primary goal is to foster the academic, personal, and social development of young people, equipping them with tools and information to make future decisions with greater confidence, by understanding their capabilities and available options. To achieve this, workshops, individual support, visits to training centers and companies, and motivational talks will be organized.
Mayor Jon Iraola emphasized that "accompanying our young people during such an important stage as adolescence is also a responsibility of institutions." He highlighted that guidance should extend beyond studies, connecting young people with training centers and local businesses, and underscored the crucial role of families in this journey.
The project is structured into three pathways based on educational level. The first pathway (1st and 2nd year of ESO) focuses on socio-emotional foundations and self-knowledge; the second (3rd year of ESO) works on competencies and vocational guidance; and the third (4th year of ESO) aids in the decision-making process between Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, or other paths.
Activities will take place from October 2026 to May 2027. Groups will consist of a minimum of 8-10 participants and a maximum of 25. Sessions will primarily be conducted in Basque, adapting to the linguistic needs of each participant, and vocational guidance free from gender stereotypes will be promoted.
The registration period will open on October 1, 2026. In-person registrations can be made at PEGORA (Untzaga plaza 1, ground floor), and electronic registrations through the municipal website (www.eibar.eus), requiring a digital certificate.
