The Ertzaintza has confirmed that two individuals arrested on Friday in Llodio for robberies in farmhouses in the Oleta neighborhood have been sent to prison. The two men, aged 35 and 27, are accused of having entered several homes.
According to the police, four robbery complaints were registered in that neighborhood between March 27 and April 1. However, residents counted a total of ten cases, with the last one occurring last Tuesday. The robberies mainly took place in unoccupied buildings and second homes, with copper, other metal elements, watches, and jewelry being the primary items stolen.
To aid the investigation, residents provided crucial information to the authorities. One of the homes had a security camera, and its footage showed two individuals. These videos were handed over to the Ertzaintza by the neighbors, who also held several meetings with the City Council and the police station chief to address the situation.
