Opposition political groups, after identifying several errors in the audit reports, requested more debate and work on these matters. It is worth recalling that the PNV itself had recently raised concerns about the local entity's debt.
The municipal government team, for its part, has requested the correction of erroneous elements as soon as possible to address them again in the Municipal Plenary session, scheduled for June 29th.
Among the approved projects is the third modification for the theater's construction. In this final phase of the work, the City Council has allocated funds to cover the settlement, and all payments will be considered complete.
Further progress was made at the sports center, where the gas boiler will be replaced by an aerothermal system, powered by a photovoltaic installation on the roof, with the gas boiler serving as a backup. Projections indicate a 22% reduction in energy consumption, with 30% of the center's energy needs met by local renewable sources. The council will seek the necessary funding for this initiative.
Additionally, improvements to the quality and safety of the paddle tennis court were approved, addressing an infrastructure heavily used by many citizens that had become deteriorated. Furthermore, the budget for the 'Bizi' program, managed by the Social Cohesion Department, has been increased to promote an active and healthy municipality and enhance citizens' biopsychosocial well-being through community initiatives.
