Orozko will host the start of the III edition of the Women's Tour of Ayala today, at 5:00 PM in front of the town hall. The approximately 180 participating cyclists will face a 2.2-kilometer time trial stage.
The event was presented yesterday in Orozko itself, with the presence of organizers and numerous political and sports representatives.
Tomorrow, Saturday, the second stage will take place in Llodio. It will cover 57 kilometers, extending to Arespalditza before returning to Llodio.
The final race, spanning 53 kilometers, will be held on Sunday. It will start at 10:30 AM from Amurrio, traversing the surrounding areas (including Larrinbe and Saratxo) and concluding in the municipality.
The event, organized by the Basque and Alavan Cycling Federations, the Laudio Cycling Club, the Ayala Cycling Club, and the Amurrio Cycling Club, is designed for cadet and junior athletes. A total of 18 teams have responded to the call, coming from the Basque Country, the Canary Islands, Asturias, Extremadura, and Valencia.
This year's edition demonstrates that the Women's Tour of Ayala has become established in the calendar. Furthermore, interested parties can follow the entire race live via streaming.
