SD Eibar played their second match of the F League yesterday, facing Real Madrid away from home. Despite the challenging fixture, the Eibar players demonstrated a strong performance, consistent with their previous game, and returned with a point after a 0-0 draw.
The home team could not establish dominance, and Eibar effectively defended against their numerous chances (Real Madrid had 29 shots compared to Eibar's single attempt). Goalkeeper Anna Wellmann, on loan from Bayern Munich, was particularly noteworthy, making eight saves.
With this draw, Eibar now has four points and sits in fifth place in the league table, level with Real Madrid. Their next game is at home in Ipurua on September 13th at 19:30, where they will host Badalona Women.
