The Txakoli de Álava Designation of Origin has presented its 2025 txakoli, of excellent quality and lower production, at the XXVII edition of Txakoli Day in Amurrio.

The seven wineries of the Txakoli de Álava Designation of Origin unveiled their 2025 harvest yesterday, characterized by exceptional quality despite a more limited production, during the XXVII edition of Txakoli Day held in the park of Amurrio.
The event commenced with a tribute to chef Alberto Molinero and sommelier Jorge Rodriguez, recognized for their efforts in promoting and increasing the visibility of Alava's txakoli. Institutional representatives reaffirmed their commitment to local products prior to the official ceremony.
Thousands of people gathered in Amurrio park, enjoying the favorable weather, food and drink stalls, and the offerings from local wineries. Producers rated the day "very positively," and the festive atmosphere continued late into the night with performances by the romerías Errekada and Oxabi.
