This Sunday, June 7th, Izadi Zaleak is organizing a 19 km hike in Urdaibai and an introductory orientation session in Legazpi.

The Izadi Zaleak club has organized a new mountain hike for Sunday, heading to the Urdaibai region in Biscay to explore its peaks. The excursion will start early, at 07:00, from the club's premises. Participants will cover a 19-kilometer route with a 990-meter elevation gain, returning after lunch. The planned route passes through Basondo-Ereñozar-Atxarre-Ogoño-Elantxobe.
Interested individuals must register today, Tuesday, and Thursday, between 18:30 and 19:30, at the club itself, or by sending a message to the phone number 943 73 11 68. Further details about the route are available on the website izadi-zaleak.eus.
Additionally, the club is offering another plan for Sunday: an introductory course on mountain orientation. This activity will take place in Legazpi, near the Kimu Berri hostel, and is designed for both children and adults, requiring no prior experience.
Participants will learn the basics of using a map and compass, followed by a practical route where they will work in teams to find hidden markers. The meeting point is at 09:00 at the club's location to walk up to Ardanbide, and they will gather at the Kimu Berri hostel at 11:00.
