The Bermeo City Council has submitted allegations to the Bizkaia Provincial Council's public transport service draft, focusing on citizen needs to achieve a more efficient and comfortable service.

Following a thorough analysis of the provincial plan developed in recent months, the Bermeo City Council has submitted allegations to the public transport service draft proposed by the Bizkaia Provincial Council. The Council has structured its demands based on the needs and proposals gathered from citizens over recent years.

"It is essential to place the real needs of citizens at the center and ensure their voice is present in public transport planning."

The main objective of these contributions is to optimize routes and improve connections so that the service is truly efficient, comfortable, and attractive to users. Among the most notable requests for line A3524 (BermeoBakio) is an increase in winter frequency to ensure a bus every hour.
Regarding the connection with Bilbao by highway (A3527), Bermeo requests reinforcements on holidays and during summer, as well as extended hours until midnight on weekdays and 02:00 on weekends. There is also a demand to maintain direct services that do not pass through the center of Mungia to reduce travel times and ensure each passenger has their own seat for safety. For the university line (A3528), the City Council proposes direct services first thing in the morning, a new connection for midday classes, and direct return buses from the EHU. Additionally, on line A3515, a stop at Gernika Hospital is requested, addressing a long-standing social demand.
The local administration considers these measures vital to promote public transport and advance towards sustainability. Therefore, it encourages the public to submit their own allegations until May 22 through the Provincial Council's electronic headquarters or registration offices, to achieve a quality system.
