Currently, Busturialdea has 45 participating agents, while Lea Artibai has another 25. These figures reflect the growing commitment of the local business fabric to a more responsible, sustainable tourism model aligned with the values of the territory.
Adherence implies continuous training, evaluation, and monitoring, driving constant improvement in the sector. This approach combines sustainability, accessibility, innovation, and good management to enhance both the tourist experience and life in the localities.
To obtain this accreditation, companies, which include everything from restaurants to rural accommodations, campsites, and active tourism businesses, have successfully completed a training and evaluation process based on the six principles outlined in the Ethical Code of Tourism of Euskadi.
Among the values they commit to upholding are equality, inclusion, and tolerance, as well as the promotion of culture and heritage conservation, excellence and professionalism, respect for rights, and a tourism model aligned with community well-being.
