The Ziburu Book and Record Fair held its seventh edition this Saturday, attracting over 1,400 visitors and establishing itself as a key meeting point for Basque-language culture.

The event, held in the square of Ziburu, has surpassed participation figures from previous years. Visitors from various parts of Euskal Herria, from Aiaraldea to Durango, highlighted the welcoming atmosphere generated around Basque creation. The fair combined book presentations, concerts, and various cultural activities organized by the Baltsan association and ARGIA.
More than forty publishers and record labels gathered this year. Professionals present emphasized that the fair serves to promote small-format spaces, where the relationship between readers and creators is closer. Linguist Beñat Oihartzabal was the honoree of this edition, receiving recognition from Basque society for his academic and social career.
The fair's program began with a morning tribute and concluded with book presentations and concerts in the afternoon. The Oinherri network also held its meeting in Ziburu this weekend, aiming to combine leisure, culture, and education in the Basque language. According to the organizers, this event acts as an essential breathing space for Basque creators.
