Organ concert in Azkoitia parish by a Musikene organist

A qualified organist from Musikene will offer a concert at the Assumption of Our Lady parish church in Azkoitia, as part of the Organoak Plazara 2026 initiative, interpreting pieces by Cesar Franck and Louis Vierne.

The performance will take place on Saturday, starting at 5:30 PM, and will be played on the Cavaille-Coll organ in Azkoitia. This concert is part of the Organoak Plazara 2026 project, which aims to bring organ music to a wider audience.
The organist, born in Markina-Xemein (Bizkaia) in 2000, began his musical studies in his hometown and in Ondarroa (Bizkaia). Subsequently, he pursued organ studies at the music school in Bergara (Gipuzkoa), and completed his higher education and Organ Master's degree at Musikene.
He has given numerous concerts both as a soloist and with choirs, notably participating in the San Sebastián Musical Fortnight, the Organ Cycle of León Cathedral, the Diego Amezua Bizkaiko Hotsak Organ Festival, and the Internationale Bach Akademie festival in Stuttgart. Furthermore, he has been the titular organist of the Petruskircheen institution in the German capital. This year, he has also taken on the coordination of the Musika Haizeak music cycle in Markina-Xemein.
