The registration process has already begun, and interested individuals have until May 6 to pre-register. It is essential to have a subscriber card to participate. Registration can be done either online or in person at the customer service offices of Getxo's two sports centers. The lottery and final allocation of places will take place on May 8.
While the summer program primarily focuses on children and youth, there is also an offering for adults and individuals over 60 years old. Among the latter, functional training stands out as a modality with increasing demand.
In the children's offerings, the multi-sport and leisure courses for those aged 4 to 14 years are particularly noteworthy. These courses will run from Monday to Friday mornings, in five-hour sessions. Facilities for families will also be provided, such as a childcare service before and after the activity. Additionally, a one-hour English session will be taught daily.
Furthermore, the courses named Grand Slam will allow young people aged 8 to 16 years to combine tennis, paddle tennis, and water activities. Swimming lessons will also be organized for participants aged 4 to 17 years.
Those interested can consult the complete brochure detailing the summer offerings. The brochure is available at the sports center offices or can be downloaded from the Getxo Kirolak website.
