The Zitek program has presented the 2026 'Think Big' awards at Bizkaia Aretoa, aiming to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among university students and support innovative projects.

The competition encourages students to apply their academic knowledge to design products and services with commercial viability. The jury evaluated criteria such as innovation, technical development, competitive advantage, and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Awarded projects include sustainable solutions for the chemical industry, agricultural pollination systems, automated scientific data analysis platforms, and smart devices for detecting skin sun damage. Other recognized initiatives focus on mobile waste treatment, microalgae cultivation, and industrial safety.
In addition to financial prizes, winners and participants gain access to specialized consulting, training, and workspace at Zitek business centers to develop their business plans and launch their entrepreneurial activities.
