The Irun City Council is organizing the "Our Friend the Tree" activity on September 12 at the Lapurriturri Information Point, within Aiako Harria Natural Park.

The Lapurriturri Information Point, located in the Aiako Harria Natural Park and promoted by the Sustainable Development area of the Irun City Council, continues with its summer offerings. On September 12, a Saturday, the activity named "Our Friend the Tree" will take place. The event will start at 11:00 AM from the Lapurriturri Information Point itself.
Through a guided walk, participants will learn about the trees found in the area. Along the path, instructions will be given to identify native species, explaining the characteristics of the trunk, medicinal plants, and legends.
The activity is aimed at all citizens, especially families with children between 6 and 10 years old. Registration is mandatory and can be done between August 27 and September 7 by calling 010 or through the website www.irun.org. The Lapurriturri Information Point recommends bringing appropriate clothing and footwear for hiking, water, and a snack.
The Lapurriturri Information Point will be open every weekend, holiday, and bridge day from June 1 to October 31, inclusive, from 09:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Throughout the summer, thematic activities will be offered to promote the historical, cultural, and natural values of the area. A mycological workshop is planned for October 10, with further information to be provided later.
The Lapurriturri Information Point has been introducing visitors to the park for over 15 years, organizing various events throughout the season. In addition to activities, the information point itself provides visitors with information about the Natural Park and the different thematic routes available (Ice Pits, Mining, Charcoal Burning, Wars, and Flora-Fauna-Water), as well as the surrounding tourist offerings.
