The Irun City Council, via its Department of City Promotion and Economic Development, continues its training program for local commerce with new courses until November. The initiative aims to equip the sector with the knowledge and tools needed to face current challenges, promoting their continuous improvement, adaptation, and competitiveness.
The sessions, held at the Commerce Lab space (c/ Serapio Mugica, 8), will take place between September and November. These training programs are based on feedback from previous sessions to enhance the offering and tailor it to the sector's needs.
Nuria Alzaga, deputy mayor and delegate for City Promotion and Economic Development, highlighted, "The Commerce Lab was created precisely for this purpose: to be a useful space for our commerce. It's not just about offering courses, but about listening to what the sector needs and providing them with tools they can apply in their daily businesses."
Alzaga added, "Consumer habits change rapidly, and new tools constantly emerge. Our role is to support local commerce in this process by providing practical and accessible training, covering areas from social media and Artificial Intelligence to crucial topics like customer service for the elderly or managing complaints. Modernizing doesn't mean losing the essence of local commerce; it's about giving it more tools to remain competitive."
The training will be both theoretical and practical, aimed at local businesses to acquire useful instruments for continuous improvement, adaptation to environmental changes, and maintaining competitiveness. This campaign will cover topics such as creating promotional posters for social media, the importance of the human factor, AI applied to commerce, and window dressing for the Christmas campaign, among others.
The courses will be taught by professionals experienced in commerce and communication: Ibon Irastorza, Ane Sanzberro, Mario Echevarria, Badoa, Pixel Diseinua, and the Chamber of Commerce of Gipuzkoa.
Interested individuals must register by indicating the training course, the attendee's name, the business, and a phone number, by writing to a specified email address.
