The song's lyrics highlighted the urgent need for the revitalization of the Basque language, calling to revive the heartbeats of the people. The text recalls the journey from the resurgence of the 1960s-1970s to current signs of stagnation, warning that Basque is 'closer to death than to normalization,' and stressing the necessity to activate 'spirit and courage.'

Aresketa Ikastola has unveiled 'Taupadak berpiztu!', the song created for the Araba Euskaraz 2026 festival, in Amurrio, delivering a powerful message for the revitalization of the Basque language.
This year's edition of the Araba Euskaraz festival is set to take place on June 14, and various events are being organized to build anticipation. One such event occurred this morning in front of the GUK sculpture in Juan Urrutia Park in Amurrio, where Aresketa Ikastola publicly presented 'Taupadak berpiztu!', the song created for the 2026 edition.
Representatives from Aresketa Ikastola, along with the song's creators, were present at the launch event. Students from the ikastola performed a special choreography, emphasizing the need to "revive the heartbeats" in light of the current state of the Basque language and culture.
According to the organizers, the song is based on diversity and danceability. Over a salsa rhythm created with organic sounds, a colorful blend of alboka, trikitixa, trumpet, trombone, and Latin percussion can be heard, inviting listeners to dance.
The creation of the song involved members of Aresketa Ikastola, and several well-known musicians also participated in the recording. The voices of the ikastola's students were also included in the recording, with mixing and mastering work carried out in a professional studio.
