The calendar for popular races in Vitoria-Gasteiz and Álava for 2026 has been set, heralding a new season for runners with several prominent events across the territory.

The 2026 racing season is underway, offering a wide variety of options for runners in the Álava territory. The calendar begins on March 28 with the Zuia Duathlon, celebrating its sixth edition in Murgia. This event will gather 700 duathletes with a revamped course and will also bring back the children's race, which had not been held for two years.
Subsequently, on April 19, the Subida a Estibaliz will take place, one of the most successful races in the Álava calendar. In its 39th edition, organizers have made more bibs available due to high demand from Vitoria runners. The 15.1-kilometer route goes from Armentia to the sanctuary of Estibaliz, featuring a constant incline with the steepest section in the final kilometers.
On May 10, two significant events will be held: the Martín Fiz Marathon and the Kanpezu-Ioar.
