From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the town square will become a showcase for local products. Attendees will be able to purchase flowers, seasonal plants, and everything necessary for the garden from nurseries and producers from Álava and La Rioja. Additionally, local bars and restaurants will join the festivities by creating a special pintxo for the day.
The activity program is designed for the whole family. Throughout the morning, there will be a wood carving exhibition, children's workshops, and a product tasting. The musical entertainment will be provided by the gardeners' troupe from the San Sebastián carnival, who will liven up the streets alongside the pipers of Elciego. The festive day will extend into the afternoon with inflatable castles for the little ones. The grand finale will be a concert by the Vitoria-based group Sincromáticos, playing music from the 80s and 90s to "end on a high note".
The Flower and Garden Market is just the starting gun for a robust cultural agenda in Elciego for the coming months. Highlights include the comedy festival ZiekokoKomeria (June 6th and 7th), the Wine and Music Week (from July 13th to 19th), and theatrical visits during the grape harvest in October. An special activity is even being prepared to enjoy the eclipse scheduled for August 12th, for which Elciego is considered a "privileged enclave".
