The Ondas de Jazz series is entering its final stages and will host a performance by singer, composer, and instrumentalist Astrid Canales at the Jesús Guridi Conservatory in Vitoria-Gasteiz, where she will present her solo project.

This special edition of Ondas de Jazz is drawing to a close, with the penultimate event scheduled for this Tuesday. This occasion celebrates two decades of the program, and the spotlight will be on Astrid Canales, a singer, composer, and instrumentalist, who makes her debut in the Alavese capital with her solo project.
Although Canales is familiar with performing in the city, having previously appeared with Gasteiz-born pianist Juan Sebastián Vázquez, this time she will showcase her own work. Her debut album, Ego, released last year, serves as the perfect foundation for her performance within the series promoted by Jazzargia. The concert will take place at the Jesús Guridi Conservatory starting at 7:00 PM, with tickets still available.

Astrid Canales will present her debut album, Ego, in Vitoria, as part of the Ondas de Jazz series, marking a turning point in her artistic career.

Born in Ibiza, Canales began her musical training in classical music, completing her higher education in viola for orchestral musicians in Germany. It was there that she discovered her passion for modern music—especially jazz and neo-soul—which marked a decisive shift in her artistic trajectory. In 2020, she settled in Madrid and launched her career as a singer with her first single, Aye.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with artists such as Escandaloso Xpósito, Salvador Sobral, Vic Mirallas, and Dano Ziontifik. She has also made significant contributions as an arranger and instrumentalist alongside names like Ralphie Choo, Rusowsky, and Queralt Lahoz, among others. It is within this context that Ego emerged, reflecting her diverse interests and knowledge.
