This investment has facilitated the acquisition of new equipment such as pool materials, medicine balls, dumbbells, stationary bikes, treadmills, and elliptical machines. The goal is to ensure facilities are modern, safe, and adapted to citizens' needs.
Ana López de Uralde, the Councilor for Sports, emphasized that "The Sports Service will continue to allocate resources to the improvement, renovation, and adaptation of municipal sports equipment, with the aim of offering modern, safe facilities tailored to the needs of the citizenry."
Investments made in recent years have enabled the incorporation or renewal of specific equipment such as dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, racquets, and pool materials, thereby enhancing the user experience.
Furthermore, in the 11 exercise rooms spread across the civic centers, new machines including treadmills, stationary bikes, and elliptical machines have been introduced, allowing for higher quality sports activities.
Additionally, in the coming months, shared mats in gyms and exercise rooms will no longer be replaced as they reach the end of their useful life. This measure addresses hygiene criteria and the need to optimize material maintenance and management, encouraging users to bring their own personal mats.
