Residents and visitors of Vitoria-Gasteiz will have a wide range of leisure options this weekend, from May 1st to 3rd, thanks to the diverse events scheduled in the city. The agenda combines tradition, music, and local commerce, offering proposals for all ages and tastes.
The Abetxuko neighborhood will kick off the festival season, with a performance by the Orquesta Natatxe on Friday and the open-air dance by Joselu Anayak on Saturday. The festivities will run throughout Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Meanwhile, the traditional pilgrimage to Estíbaliz will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first Feria de los Desagravios. The event will feature full-day activities such as competitions, children's workshops, sports exhibitions, music, traditional dances, bertsolaris, and a popular meal. The pilgrimage will take place on Friday.
In the heart of the city, the Almond Market will be held on Saturday, from 10:30 to 15:00. This initiative by the Federation of Commerce and Services of the Medieval Quarter aims to create a new meeting point and promote the development of commerce, culture, and leisure.
Additionally, the town of Villabuena de Álava will host a new edition of the Villabuena Wine Fest on Saturday, transforming the town into a large square dedicated to wine, with the participation of 18 wineries and three hospitality establishments. For music lovers, the Mezcla Woman Metal Fest will take place on Saturday at 20:00 at Urban Rock Concept, featuring three local bands: Delenda Est, Aeroscreamer, and HRS. Also, at Le Coup, at 21:00, Attitude for Destruction will pay tribute to Guns N' Roses.
In the sports arena, the first edition of the Vitoria-Gasteiz BTT Basque Country mountain bike event will take place on May 2nd and 3rd, bringing together high-level riders and enthusiasts of all ages. Finally, a poetic event to celebrate Mother's Day will be held on Sunday at 12:00 at Floristería Arantza, and at the Ataria center, at 12:00, a family activity “Activating the senses” will be organized for children aged 5 to 10.
